Jhn 17:1

After Jesus said this "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.", he looked toward heaven and prayed:

“Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.

Jhn 17:2

For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life not religion to all those you have given God does the calling him.

Jhn 17:3

Now this relationship with God Almighty through the Messiah is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Jhn 17:4

I have brought you glory on earth by completing Jesus said this before His death on the cross the work(see 'The Work') you gave me to do.

Jhn 17:5

And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before Jesus - The Living Word of God - was present with God the Father before creation the world began.

Jhn 17:6

“I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours God the Father had legal right over all men & women under the first covenant and the lost sheep of Israel where who Jesus was sent to minister to (Matthew 15:24); you gave God the Father handed the remnant of humanity that He is calling over to the grace and truth of Jesus the Messiah Hbr 1:1 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, Hbr 1:2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.

them to me and they have obeyed your word.

Jhn 17:7

Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.

Jhn 17:8

For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted This is the seed sown upon good ground. (Mark 4:1-20) them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.

Jhn 17:9

I pray for them. I am not praying for the world This is a vital fact about Jesus' ministry. He did not come to start a new religion or bring peace to the world. He came to minister to those whom God the Father calls and to give them peace and authority and power. There is peace on earth, but it is in the Messiah., but for those you have given me, for they are yours.

Jhn 17:10

All I have is yours, and all you have is mine This statement is unarguably states that God the Father and God the Son are one.. And glory has come to me through them.

Jhn 17:11

I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name There is power in God's name–the name you gave me And that name is Jesus (Yahowshu {yeh-ho-shoo'-ah}) –so that they may be one as we are one.

Jhn 17:12

While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name There is a reason that the Messiah was given the name Jesus (Luke 1:31) you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.

Jhn 17:13

“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure What measure of joy do you have in you? of my joy within them.

Jhn 17:14

I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world In the world but not following that spirit of the world. any more than I am of the world.

Jhn 17:15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them God can protect you from Satan, but He has laid out a way to do that. It is His plan and not what you would like it to be. from the evil one.

Jhn 17:16

They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

Jhn 17:17

Sanctify Separate them - YES! The Word of God separates us from the world and puts us under the protection of God Almighty. them by the truth; your word is truth.

Jhn 17:18

As That is, that God the Father sent Jesus into the world with authority and power. you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

Jhn 17:19

For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. This He is talking about the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Jhn 17:20

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those That means me praise God Almighty, and you (if you believe - put faith in - Jesus). who will believe in me through their message,

Jhn 17:21

that all of them He said all, meaning that there is a bunch of us. Not just your click, not just Jews, not just Cacastions, not just Negros, not just Asians, not just those having Wednesday night bible study, etc. may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that The reason that discipleship takes place and we grow as members of the faith of the Messiah is that God Almighty can show His Son (Jesus) to this lost and sin saturated world. the world may believe that you have sent me.

Jhn 17:22

I have given them the glory A carrier of the Words of the Living God that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one:

Jhn 17:23

I in them and you in me. May they be brought to This is through the ministry of gifts that God has given to the Church - Eph 4:11-13 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Jhn 17:24

“Father, I want those you have given me This is all of us that believe in Jesus. to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

Jhn 17:25

“Righteous Father, though the world does not know There is something that is not known, because even when this was spoken, there were people of every race practicing religion. you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me.

Jhn 17:26

I have made you known It is through Jesus that we fellowship / have relationship with the Father. to them, and will continue Jesus did not leave us but sent the Holy Spirit unto us that we may have fellowship and carry the love of God in our hearts. to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”
